Environmental Impact Assessments
Environmental Impact Assessments, Sustainability Appraisals and Strategic Environmental Impact Assessments are generally accepted international mechanisms for assessing the potential environmental impacts from proposed changes to land-use and to tackle environmental, economic and social issues in an integrated way.
We have a large and established team of experts. They are experienced in conducting impact assessments across all types of developments, whether for new commercial developments, the expansion of power plants or mines, for new transport infrastructure projects, or for recreational developments near marine life or in special areas of conservation. We have managed a broad mix of projects in locations all around the world.
An unrivalled breadth of expertise
We have a broad range of trained specialists to conduct all aspects that may be required from an environmental impact assessment. This includes:
- Air quality and odour
- Species control and translocation
- Water resources
- Drainage and flooding
- Wetlands and marine
- Noise and vibration
- Contaminated land
We bring together this breadth of expertise to ensure we can fulfil every aspect of a clients brief and draw this together into an integrated process to ensure a speedy path through the planning process.
Our approach ensures our clients save time, meet regulatory obligations and cover all the bases. It also identifies opportunities to demonstrate environmental best practice whilst delivering cost savings.
And we can guide our clients through the entire process, from screening and scoping, to baseline surveys, project management, public consultation, expert witness and capacity building and training.
Flood Risk Assessments
Through our colleagues in WSP Development & Transportation, we can also provide flood risk assessments. For more information contact Tim Cuell on firstname.lastname@example.org.
