Environmental management for DHL

We have been working with DHL for over five years and have supported their EMS roll out with a programme of approximately 150 environmental site audits across its UK portfolio. We have designed and delivered environmental training. And from our close relationship have gained a good understanding of DHL's issues and risks and assisted the team with implementing an ISO 14001 accredited EMS. 

Environmental e-learning for Barclays

WSP worked with Barclays to develop electronic training packages on sustainability and environmental management. They were focussed on raising staff awareness of environmental issues at Barclays, how their roles impact on the environment and how their behaviour can reduce this impact. The training was designed to be applicable to all levels of staff as an environmental awareness tool.

Safety programme developed for Beijing Bama Food Processing Company

US food company BAMA is enjoying rapid growth in the Chinese market.  WSP has helped BAMA design and implement safety programmes which reflects the growth of their business in this region.  A safety climate survey followed by safety culture and leadership training for management have been key elements of this programme.

Multi-nationals sign up for in-depth EH&S;training

Multi-nationals and large state owned companies such as Saint-Gobain, Coca-Cola, Siemens, Vestas, Applied Materials, ConocoPhillips and ABB, are just some of the organisations who have placed their employees on our specialist 5 day EH&S workshops held across China since 2005.  We have hosted these workshops in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin.  Training includes case studies and practical exercises to help build knowledge and skills for EH&S managers and HSE co-ordinators.

Long Term Support to The Cooperative Group

We have enjoyed a long relationship with The Cooperative Group, one of the largest consumer co-operatives in the world. We have supported their EMS implementation in their Dairies, Farming and Funeral Care businesses; we have collated information for their annual sustainability report; and we have helped them embed their sustainable purchasing process through a training module for their purchasing teams.

The California Climate Action Registry

We have supported a leading San Francisco Bay Area company with its sustainability programs since 2003.  From 2005 – 2008 we have assisted the company to prepare its GHG inventory which has been verified by a third party each year through the company’s participation in the California Climate Actino Registry (CCAR).
