Product-based Greenhouse Gas Calculator

In the US we worked with Infoprint Solutions Company (an IBM company) to create an Excel based GHG calculator for several of its products. The tool provided estimates of a products carbon footprint based on model type and use.  Several versions of competitor products were included in the model which enables Infoprint Solutions clients to directly compare product environmental performance across product solution options.

Comparative product footprint and end-of-life analysis

WSP completed a series of lifecycle assessments for an international Fortune 500 company which evaluated and compared the carbon footprint of various data management and documentation production office products. The LCA included multiple end-of-life scenarios, including landfill disposal, recycling, and reuse/remanufacture. The results were compared to equivalent competitor products to evaluate product performance and environmental impacts based on use.
