Unsurprisingly our specialist landscape architects are passionate about the visualisation and use of precious outdoor spaces. Our work helps ensure open spaces are attractive, functional and complement their surroundings, contribute to tackling climate change and provide sustainable, cost effective solutions for developers and community groups alike.
We have experience working for a wide range of clients and projects, from new town developments and country parks to small community gardens. The team develops and enhances public open spaces, residential and commercial developments, parks, play and sports areas, schools, hospitals, green roofs and walls, and areas of historical interest.
We bring important links between architecture, archaeology and ecology. And, being part of an environmental consultancy, we bring particular strength in habitat creation, use of recycled materials, incorporation of green infrastructure and assessing historical built environments.
Key services include:
Landscape, Townscape and Visual Assessments
Baseline analysis, consultations and reviews all help inform our assessments and their integration into Environmental Statements and constraints plans.
Masterplanning and Consultant Advice
We specialise in fully integrated sustainable Masterplans including providing advice throughout the planning process. For example, we have provided advice for two cities in China with a focus on sustainable infrastructure and have been the sole landscape consultants for the emerging Northstowe New Town – forming the largest planning application of its type in UK history.
We assist developers and clients throughout the planning process, from pre-planning stage, development frameworks and area action plans through detailed planning requirements to post-planning discharge of conditions, contract administration and landscape implementation and maintenance.
Design guides, Strategies and Feasibility Studies
We are experienced in developing public realm design guides, design and access statements, landscape strategies, open space and access studies, and design briefs for projects of varying sizes, from large Masterplans to artist commissions. The team also has extensive experience at community engagement, consultation workshops and public exhibitions.
