What is Greenfly?

Simply stated Green Fly is an easy to use online tool that helps to design greener products. It can be used by anyone involved in the development of products, from designers, engineers and manufacturers, to marketing and management. And it gives you customisable reports to help you communicate the environmental considerations of your product.

How do you use it?

You enter information about materials, manufacturing processes, transport, operational use and end of life assumptions. As you build your product Greenfly will instantly show the impact of each design decision on global warming, water use, energy, and solid waste. And that's not all. It will give you tips along the way as well as downloadable sustainability information packs that could help you to further reduce the environmental impact of your product. 

Soon to be released versions of Greenfly will also help you to evaluate your designs based on a range of regulatory and compliance protocols. Watch this space...

How does it do this?

We have over a decade of sustainable design expertise, as well as leading technology experts. We use quantitative data with qualitative resources and we use eco design strategies and life cycle assessment data.
