Brad Blundell - Managing Director, UK
Profile
"I joined WSP in February 1998 to establish a presence in Manchester and we shortly opened an office in Leeds as well. I took responsibility for WSP's Northern offices, including Scotland in 2000, and then in 2001 I became the UK Managing Director. We now have 15 offices across the UK, we are one of the leading environmental, energy and sustainability consultancies and have Europe's largest soil and groundwater businesses, so I'm kept pretty busy.
I'm responsible for the strategic direction and growth of our UK business, which includes looking at new markets and evolving client needs. Our range of services has broadened dramatically since we first began back in 1995 and we also service a lot of global clients from the UK and so I spend a lot of time liaising with colleagues and clients overseas."
Brad's Background
Prior to WSP, Brad worked for the Greater Manchester Geological Unit, and also for Cremer and Warner (now part of Entec), for Robinson Fletcher Consultants and WS Atkins.

Brad says;
“Right now I am really excited about the opportunities that climate change represents to our business. I am keen to explore not just the areas that relate to the new and rapidly emerging areas of business in sustainability and energy consulting, but what opportunities we can deliver through our core service lines in connection with adaptation and mitigation strategies. Not only is it extremely exciting to work with colleagues in order to explore new and varied business opportunities, but such work offers the prospect of delivering tangible solutions and client benefit to overcome the challenges of climate change.”
