Graham Munday - Head of Marketing & Communications
Profile
Based in London, Graham is responsible globally for our brand and marketing communications. His remit covers both our client and staff communications. He is responsible for activities such as our media profile, the networking events we host for our clients, and our client feedback program on our service and performance.
It's a varied role reflecting a business with over 1,000 people, a broad range of capabilities, emerging markets, and many different cultures. With a small Marketing team split across London and our key regional centres, Graham ensures clients and staff alike are fully aware of the expertise that exists across our business. We're really excited to be able to help our clients with a range of energy, sustainability and environmental challenges, but as with any business, we need to tell people about those skills!
Graham has also helped us win awards for 'Best Marketing Campaign' around our positioning and delivery of energy efficiency work for major property owning clients, and 'Mould Breaking Initiative' for our pioneering Active Transfer product - both won at the European Practice Management International Awards in 2008.
His background
Graham joined us in late 2005. He has worked for over 15 years in marketing communications, with broad experience of communication campaigns, internal knowledge building, events and media.
Before joining WSP, Graham worked for UK property consultants Vail Williams LLP as their Marketing Manager. And as part of their Management Board he was responsible for the re-positioning of their business as a full-service consultancy, from a transactional agency.
Graham's career began at Norwich Union Insurance Company, now Aviva plc. In just under 10 years with this international insurance giant, he developed his career, becoming a Communications Manager with responsibility for company acquisition communications and client conferences amongst other things.

Graham says;
“Realisation of the growing impact of climate change has resulted in a hugely important change in people’s attitudes to energy usage and sustainable behaviours. WSP is one of those businesses that can genuinely help organisations take stock of the situation and respond with a practical and reasonable approach to manage and reduce their impacts. Informing clients about this and communicating that message across our global markets is my prime objective.”
