Jan Chizzonite - Managing Director, US
Profile
Jan is the Managing Director responsible for overall business operations and work in our US headquarters in Reston, Virginia. He is also part of the global Performance Committee so he is heavily involved in WSP's global business activities and plays a key role in the development of management strategies.
Jan provides strategic support for domestic and international projects primarily for clients in the industrial and financial sectors. These projects are quite broad ranging but Jan specifically oversees mergers and acquisitions, remedial investigations and cleanups, corporate environmental audits and management systems. He also often plays a key role in conducting negotiations on behalf of our clients.
Jan is also an accomplished technical writer and has published over 15 technical articles, columns and book chapters focussing on different aspects of environmental consulting.

And his background........
Jan has 30 years of experience working in the environmental industry. He has been part of the business since 1989, when he joined Environmental Strategies, a major US-based environment, health and safety consultancy. In 2006, Environmental Strategies merged with WSP to become part of WSP Environment & Energy.
Prior to working for WSP and the former Environmental Strategies, Jan worked for LTV Steel Company and Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he was responsible for directing corporate and facility-specific programs for environmental compliance and liability management.
