Ole Paus - Managing Director, Scandinavia

Profile

Ole joined WSP in 2001 and for the first 4 years was responsible for our business in Sweden, based in the Stockholm headquarters. In 2005 Ole's role was expanded and he became the Principal Director for our Northern European region which has more than 250 staff in Sweden, Finland and Estonia.

 

As a member of the global board Ole is also heavily involved with global business activities, with a particular focus on the continuing development of our energy and climate change services. 

 

Ole's background

Ole has over 30 years experience in the field of hydrogeology, environmental and contaminated land consulting. However, the last 25 years have seen Ole involved in managing other business areas. This has included being a member of the Board in the National Swedish Geological Survey, Integria Certification AB, Geoservice AB, Geolab AB, Geotest Insitu AB etc.

 

Prior to WSP Ole was a director at J&W in Sweden. Ole was originally a Director for the geotech and rock mechanics department and started their soil and water department before starting up  J&W's Energy and Environment business in 1999. WSP acquired this business in 2001 when Ole became a member of the enlarged WSP Environment & Energy business.

 

Ole's qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology
• Chairman of the Environmental Committee of the Swedish Geotechnical Society since 1993
