Our History and Vision

Our history

We started our environmental business in South Africa in 2000. At this time WSP's Environment & Energy operation was a growing global business with staff in Europe, Asia and the US and there was great opportunity for us in Africa. We now have staff worldwide and advise leading national and multi-national organisations.

Our first office was in Johannesburg and this remains our African headquarters today. We started this office with 4 staff offering largely environmental services to the mining sector. As our business continued to grow we opened offices in Durban, Cape Town and Pietermaritzburg.

We also soon began to broaden our service range to enable us to offer a full and integrated suite of environmental services to our clients. We currently offer corporate responsibility, energy management and clean energy supply, environmental planning, ecology, biodiversity, asbestos, toxicology, permitting and waste services, amongst others. We have very rapidly grown from a small start-up specialist business to be one of South Africa's most reputable environmental consultancies.

Our vision

Our growth has been strong and feedback from our clients tells us we are doing well. But we're ambitious and have plans for continued growth and diversity.

Our vision is to provide an independent, innovative and professional service whereby we strive to achieve a balance between environmental protection, social desirability and economic development.

And as part of this we aim to help our clients outperform their competitors with enhanced environmental management and commitment to sustainability. The provision of sound environmental management is becoming an essential ingredient for business success.
