WSP has been operating in China and the wider Asia Pacific Region for many years. 

With the increasing global influence of this region, China has a growing awareness that environmental compliance and sustainability are key factors to the long term success and growth of the region. 

What we do

Our clients in the region view their responsibility for environmental compliance and sustainability very seriously, and we dedicate time to understanding the challenges and opportunities facing our clients..

We work with many world leading blue-chip multinational corporations, together with local industrial companies, property developers and government agencies, and our focus with them in China is on environmental management, energy efficiency and sustainability practices.

Staffed by locally qualified consultants, our team are conversant with the language, market issues, systems and regulatory frameworks in China, and also bring extensive international experience to introduce global best practice where appropriate.  Most notably this is in the delivery of environmental, health and safety compliance, advice on soil and groundwater contamination, corporate social responsibility and supply chain management, and the delivery of green building advice, sustainability and climate change services.

Where we are based

We deliver services throughout the Asia-Pacific region. With full time professional staff based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, we also work from WSP Group offices in Beijing, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Singapore, and have forged relationships with specialist and local strategic partners throughout the region.

What we've worked on

For leading global organisations we have undertaken supplier assessments in the region to report on environmental, health and safety, industrial hygiene, waste recycling and compliance procedures, and amongst many other activities we have delivered Phase I and Phase II due diligence audits.
