Our Profile

We have been operating in Finland and Estonia for 8 years and during that time have built up a deep understanding of Finland's and Estonia's environmental and energy issues.

We have over 30 highly trained environmental specialists working from four offices in the key cities of Helsinki, where our headquarters are based, and also Oulu, Tampere and Vaasa. In addition our subsidiary WSP Estonia Oü has an office in Tallinn Estonia.

What we do...

We have trained specialists in many aspects of environmental, energy and sustainability management. This includes experts in ecology, health and safety, air quality, contaminated land, energy management, hydrology, mining, environmental legislation and more. More on services.

Who we work with...

We work with clients across all major sectors in Finland. This includes the public sector and private businesses involved in development, infrastructure, mining, industry, manufacturing, energy and commerce. Notable clients include the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Turku and Lohja, Wärtsilä, Rautaruukki, Vapo, and Eesti Energia (Narva Elektrijaamad), M-Real, Pohjolan Voima, Destia, ST 1, Finavia, Sponda and IVG among many others.

You might recognise our work on projects such as the Hakamäentie cross road construction where we have been involved with contaminated land for several years. And in Niemenranta Tampere where our work involved soil studies and remediation monitoring of an old industry landfill which will be redeveloped into a new lake side residential apartment area. It is also worth mentioning our involvement in delivering an EIA for the wind park in Åland Island. Once completed in 2011, Åland will reach a 70 % self sufficiency in terms of green electricity.
