About Us

WSP has been operating in Australia for several years and is one of the leading environmental consultancies.

Australia has been a significant growth area for WSP and we now have over 400 people in total operating across the country covering a wide range of practice areas. Our head office is in Melbourne and we also have key offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.

We're a diverse business

We have renowned experts handling a broad range of environmental and risk issues, enabling us to work with our clients on how sustainability impacts their entire business. Our expertise ranges from remediating contaminated land to formulating corporate CSR strategies, from conducting environmental audits to designing corporate risk programmes, and from implementing energy efficiency plans to designing online tools for green product design. We also have a wealth of expertise in property development and project management.

Responding to the Australian agenda

There is a strong agenda for businesses and individuals to respond to climate change, carbon emissions and sustainability concerns. Issues ranging from water droughts, to energy shortages, transport problems and biodiversity concerns, are all attracting significant attention. Our Government are responding through increased regulation to manage such challenges and WSP is pleased to have experts in these areas. We are involved in significant initiatives to respond to this agenda.

International support

We work with many ASX listed companies, small to medium sized businesses and public and Government authorities across Australia. But we also work with our clients across their global operations, supporting them across the Asia-Pacific and globally as part of our global Environment & Energy business. This global platform for our business also enables us to access global best practice from across the world to further enhance our own delivery in Australia.

Our Environment & Energy practice area is part of WSP Group plc, one of the world's largest design, engineering and management consultancies specialising in property, transport and infrastructure projects. The Group has 9,000 people in 200 offices in 35 countries around the world.

In the Asia Pacific region WSP has over 400 staff offering a fully integrated multi-disciplinary service. In addition to our environment and energy services this expertise includes mechanical and electrical engineering, vertical transportation solutions, flood risks, civil engineering design and construction management, transportation planning, fire engineering and structural design.
