WSP’s Tim Clare to serve as moderator at Corporate Counsel's The Cross-Border M&A;Forum

WSP Environment & Energy's Tim Clare has been invited to serve as a moderator at Corporate Counsel's Cross-Border M&A Forum being held at the Harvard Club in New York City on September 11th, 2012.  Tim will be moderating the "Due Diligence Pre- and Post-Deal to Manage Risk" session with panelists Margaret  Bae, Deputy General Counsel,  ContourGlobal;  Steven D. Meyers, Executive Counsel - EHS Transactions, GE; and  Eric Swedenburg, Partner, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

 

The panel will explore the breadth of regulatory, market and social issues that can impact a business and represent potential liabilities in a transaction that continue to grow. They will discuss how successful cross-border deals often hinge on assembling the right team to cover the relevant issues and geographies; creating a workable timeline; setting up the clean room; background checks and interviews; as well as covering the potential risks within the environment, the local economy, etc.
