Dave Meyer joins as Senior VP Business Development in N America | 24th Jan 2011

David A. Meyer has joined WSP Environment & Energy as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Client Relations, in our North American operation. David brings almost 20 years of experience in the strategic business development of environmental services both in the U.S. and internationally.

Commenting on this strategic hire, WSP's North American M.D., Jan Chizzonite said: "We are delighted to welcome David to our business. David joins from SGS Environmental Services where he enjoyed a successful managerial career from 1992 including being Director of Business Development and ultimately a Senior Vice-President with responsibility for the company's North American business.

These include issues such as environmental liability management, energy management, greenhouse gas assessments, and an increasingly strict regulatory environment around issues such as safety and product stewardship."

WSP's evolving team of Business Development professionals includes Richard Townsend and Dan Golden who joined the business in Quarter 3 of 2010, both based in the firm's Denver, CO office. Richard is focused on environmental issues and Dan is dedicated to the continued development of the company's online management product, ERIMS, which specifically helps organizations to record, manage and report key environmental data.

David Meyer will be based in Reston, Virginia, WSP's lead office in North America and will work with the organization's teams across the U.S. and where relevant internationally. David's professional client and project management skills include being a Six Sigma Champion and having Lean and 5S Process Program Training.
