Matt Gallo joins WSP's North American EH&S team | 10th Feb 2011
Matt Gallo, CPEA has joined WSP Environment & Energy as a Senior Project Director our North American operation. Matt brings 20 years of professional experience in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) from a consulting, manufacturing, insurance and public sector background.
Matt will be based in the Greater New York City area for WSP. In addition to work in this region he will also work for WSP's clients across North America. Matt joins from the New York City School Construction Authority's Environmental Health Division where he was a Contingent Consultant, and has previously worked for Roux Associates Inc. and Environmental Resources Management (ERM).
Matt has conducted numerous environmental multi-media compliance audits in over 14 states, including on paper mills, foundries, metalworking, electronic components, petroleum distribution, waste management and hospital and education campuses. His experience includes EHS audits, management systems analyses, permitting, insurance risk control and claims support, Phase I and II assessments and remediation oversight.

Matt has an MA in Environmental Management from Long Island University and is a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) and is qualified as an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. In addition he is a Certified Visible Emissions Reader and has OSHA qualifications in Construction Safety, Health & Safety for Hazardous Waste Site Personnel, and Supervision of Hazardous Waste Site Operations.
