Senior Process Safety Specialist joins WSP in America | 2nd Sep 2010

Patricia A. Cushman, CSP has joined WSP Environment & Energy as a Senior Project Director in the company's North American operation. Patti brings 20 years of professional experience in the field of process safety and safety engineering to the company's established Health & Safety team in the region.

Commenting on this strategic hire, WSP's North American M.D., Jan Chizzonite said: "We are delighted to welcome Patti to our business. She brings additional expertise on the important challenges that industrial businesses face in managing processes around highly hazardous chemicals and atmospheres."

Since 2003 Patti had successfully run her own safety and health consulting business from her base in Connecticut. Prior to this she had worked as a Senior Safety and Health Associate for a major pharmaceutical company for 8 years.

Patti's technical and management safety experience includes: pharmaceutical and chemical production; laboratory facilities; heavy and light manufacturing; Government agency programs; health care; and OSHA compliance. Her career includes producing and overseeing the development of process safety programs and industry safety programs, and also helping organizations revitalize their safety processes using integrated business approaches.

Patti is qualified to deliver OSHA 10 hour and 30 hour training for general industry and construction. She is a Board Certified Safety Professional in Comprehensive Practice (CSP #17525) and is a member of the National Safety Council and the American Society of Safety Engineers amongst other affiliations.
