Senior sustainability specialist joins WSP in China | 21st Dec 2010
WSP Environment & Energy (WSP) is delighted to announce that Alex Steinberg will be joining our business in China. With over 15 years' experience in the ICT and multi-media industries, Alex will join WSP in the role of Principal Consultant specializing in sustainability and digital solutions.
Alex has delivered Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability solutions to leading global brands based in both the EU and China.
Alex previously worked for ABC Integrated Solutions since 2004 and has developed, managed, directed and advised clients from small organizations to the world's largest corporations around the world. He has helped his clients develop and implement, strategies, business plans, programs, and projects, coach management and train employees. He has helped clients identify new business opportunities, facilitate productive change and transform their business.
Commenting on the appointment, WSP Environment & Energy's Director of Asian Operations, Chris Hazen said: "Alex has come to WSP strongly recommended by his previous clients, including both leading UK and China-based multinationals. Alex has demonstrated the rare ability to deliver on projects which address both CSR and sustainability expectations around the world as well as the need to stay highly focused on practical execution both in the boardroom and on the factory floor in China."
Alex's appointment signals WSP's commitment to playing a key role in delivering sustainable solutions for Chinese suppliers and the companies around the world that work with and rely on China-based companies.
Alex holds an MBA degree with focus on finance and direct marketing from the University of Missouri, USA, and completed his undergraduate business studies in England, Germany, France and Spain. He also completed technical course work in telecommunications and IT.
Alex has served employers and clients such as Black & Veatch, Huawei, ZTE, Verizon, General Motors and British Telecom. His business travel and cultural studies have taken him to over 70 countries.
Alex joins WSP on the 1st January 2011 and will be based in Shanghai.
