WSP lead Thought Leadership session on managing environmental liabilities in Romania | 30th Nov 1999
In April, WSP led a thought leadership session hosted at the British Ambassador's residence in Bucharest on the subject of managing environmental liabilities in Romania.
Attendees included representatives from a number of Romanian industries including mining, waste, metals, chemical, transport and energy. The event was an excellent opportunity for WSP to highlight our local expertise and capability to assist Romanian industry on the challenges presented to them by European and national legislation.
The event explored recent legislative developments, the carbon agenda, and how to implement effective and appropriate environmental management systems, environmental assessments and remediation techniques. Senior WSP Director, Philip Stewart attended and presented, alongside Neil Foster who leads our business in Romania and other colleagues from our office Bucharest.
We were delighted to also receive key contributions from the Trade Development body at the British Embassy in Bucharest, CMS Cameron McKenna and SC Ecomaster Servicii Ecologice.
