WSP to speak at Environmental Business Council workshop in North America | 21st Oct 2009
WSP Environment & Energy have been invited to speak at an Environmental Business Council (EBC) workshop being held in New Jersey, USA on October 28th, 2009.
John Simon, Executive Vice President of WSP Environment & Energy's North American business, will be the guest speaker at the first part of a series of EBC's 'Lunch and Learn' workshops. These workshops aim to bring together environmental professionals from industry, government and academia to exchange knowledge and ideas on today's most innovative environmental remediation and energy technologies.
The topic of this first session will be 'Innovative Remediation Technologies' and the focus will be on a variety of remediation technologies including sustainable remediation, innovative remediation technologies and environmental liability transfer.
Mr. Simon is ideally placed to speak at this workshop as he is editor in chief of Remediation, The Journal of Environmental Cleanup Costs, Technologies & Techniques. This is a technical journal directed to members of the scientific and engineering community who specialize in the application of remediation technologies at contaminated sites.
Mr. Simon is also a member of the U.S. Sustainable Remediation Forum or "SURF", an energetic group of volunteers who are passionate about the concept of sustainable remediation. He has also written a number of articles and 'editor's perspective' papers around the topic of sustainable remediation.
