We are proud to employ a dedicated team of professionals throughout Australia. We enjoy an open and inclusive culture that ensures we catch the ideas and feedback from all of our staff.
Our team is led by a Board responsible for our general business operations and for developing and delivering our business strategy.
This team includes:
Stuart McLachlan – Global Managing Director
Based in our Head Office in London, Stuart joined WSP in 1995 with responsibility to start-up the environmental business within WSP. In his current role, he has an overall responsibility for the strategic direction and growth of the global business. This involves service and geographic expansion activities, including acquisitions, and overseeing the structure of the business to ensure knowledge sharing and consistent client experience. Stuart is also on the Performance Committee of WSP and is the Director of Sustainability for WSP globally.
Nick Pulford – Global Finance Director
Nick joined WSP Environment & Energy at the beginning of 2006 as Global Finance Director. Based in our London office, his main responsibility is to develop strategies for business growth and steer the business in the right direction through that growth. Since his appointment, the business has grown tremendously, not just in terms of people and revenue, but also in geographic scope. Part of Nick’s role is to ensure that the business has adequate controls in place to ensure this (for both legal and management assurance), whilst at the same time not stifling our entrepreneurial spirit.
Brent Ridgard – Regional Managing Director, Africa, Middle East, Asia Pacific
Brent joined WSP initially as Managing Director of our South African business. In 2007 he moved to Dubai to lead our growing operations in the Middle East, and develop our presence in India. In 2011, he moved to Australia to manage the Asia Pacific Region.
Brent is responsible for the leadership and strategic development of these businesses, as well as being involved in key client relationships and projects. This has seen Brent work on the largest power and water desalination plant in the world located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Dubai’s Urban Development Framework and on the Murowa Diamond mine in southern Africa.
Paul Burke – Director, Land Restoration & Planning
Paul joined WSP in 2011 to lead our Land Restoration and Development Planning service lines nationally and is based in Sydney. He has a proven track record in the industry and a wealth of knowledge and expertise in contaminated land, property management, client care and business development. Paul has spent almost 20 years working as a consultant, client and contractor. In his role at WSP, he is also responsible for working with the team on implementing business strategies around growth and diversification.
Genevieve Hawkins – Principal Director, EHS Strategy, Management & Risk
Genevieve has been working with clients in the development and implementation of safety strategies including safety leadership programs and cultural change for many years. Genevieve has sat in a number of different stakeholder positions and these experiences lead her to continue to challenge safety professionals to bring a pragmatic and engaged approach to safety. Genevieve manages our national EHS Strategy & Risk Management team and is based in Melbourne.
