We have been involved in some impressive projects in locations all around the world. This has ranged from the first environmental liability transfer in Europe, to game-changing cloud computing studies for Microsoft, to the acoustical design for The Shard, to the SEIA for the largest concentrated solar power plant in southern Africa. 	Green building codes for Colombia Colombia's Green Building Codes represent the first comprehensive mandatory regulation of its kind in Latin America. Our green building specialists worked with the IFC to provide expert advice during the development of the codes. 	Highlighting the benefits of cloud computing A study commissioned by Microsoft and conducted by WSP and Accenture revealed that businesses reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by a net of 30% or more by choosing cloud computing over traditional on-site servers. More		World's first carbon programme for airports Airport Carbon Accrediation is the world's first carbon accreditation programme for airports. Developed with ACI Europe, the programme has over 56 participating airports across Europe and has now expanded into the Asia Pacific region. More
	Award winning cleanup at future site of U.S. Coast Guard H.Q. WSP has been a key partner in the award winning project team responsible for transforming part of the historic former St. Elizabeths Campus into the new U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington D.C. More		Managing complex environmental compliance for a leading energy provider We have designed a fully searchable online, web based, environmental management database to enable the largest producer of high-Btu bituminous coal in the USA to manage their regulatory compliance. 	Net zero carbon development at Graylingwell Park Graylingwell Park is one of the UK's first net-zero carbon developments, underpinned by our innovative low carbon strategy and providing a blueprint for sustainable community living in the 21st centrury... More		Carbon Disclosure Project: Helping blue chip organisations The Carbon Disclosure Project evaluates over 3,000 of the world's largest companies on their response to climate change. We've helped a number of blue chip organizations achieve ourstanding results in the CDP leadership indexes in 2011. 	Feasibility to implementation of anaerobic digestion plant in Sweden We completed the feasibility study for the largest biogas production plant in northern Sweden. Following complex stakeholder engagement and in-depth study of waste streams we are now handling detailed design and implementation. More		Ground-breaking environmental liability transfer in the UK Our game-changing Active Transfer product unlocked a regeneration scheme in Liverpool. We completed an efficient remediation programme returning 25% of ring-fenced funds to project stakeholders and cut costs for the former owner by 45%. More
	SEIA approved for Kalahari Solar Power Project South Africa's Department of Environmental Affairs approved the social & environmental impact assessment we delivered for the first concentrated solar power plant brought to feasibility stage in the region, to generate 450MW over three phases. More		Facilitating product stewardship regulations in Australia WSP played a key role in the adoption of an Australian law that makes TV and IT manufacturers responsible for recycling products at the end of their lives. Our stakeholder engagement resulted in an unmatched example of cooperation between industry and government. More
	Impact analysis of 220km transmission line A full environmental statement and construction management plan has been delivered for a 220km, 400kV overhead transmission line in Scotland to connect renewable energy sources in the Highlands to the main Scottish population. More		Sustainable masterplan strategy for Royal Seaport We have developed waste, water and energy plans as part of the integrated sustainability masterplan for the 236ha Royal Seaport development in Stockholm, one of the largest city planning projects in Europe. 	Geotechnical and acoustic design for Zayed National Museum Teaming with architects Foster + Partners, WSP is delivering a full suite of design and engineering expertise to the development of the iconic Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi. Our work includes acoustic design, geotechnical and groundwater studies. More		Assessing power & water plants in the Gulf With our extensive involvement in the environmental assessment of more than $15bn of power and water projects across the Gulf region we help stakeholders secure regulatory approvals to secure international project funding. 	Remediation & redevelopment of lead and zinc smelter Project management and stakeholder engagement have been central to a 10 year project in New South Wales, Australia, to demolish, remediate and redevelop the 190ha former Pasminco Cockle Creek lead and zinc smelter site. More		Environmental Statement in UK for 50ha mixed-use development Planning consent was achieved in 2011 on Phase 1 of the largest regeneration project in the UK, East Float, part of the 200ha Wirral Waters scheme. We produced technical assessments in a way that ensures the longer term viability of the total development. More
