Managing & Reusing Waste
In today’s society the effective management of waste is a significant issue that impacts all of us. It affects all households, corporations and public authorities – everywhere. Waste management is closely monitored and regulated. Disposal methods are becoming increasingly more costly as landfill space decreases.
We have expertise in all areas of waste management – from overseeing the design and commissioning of waste infrastructure into large scale developments, to providing resource efficiency advice to small firms. To give you more of an idea, we can provide help with:
- Strategy and policy development
- Legislative advice
- Waste minimisation opportunities
- Masterplanning and strategies for new developments
- Site Waste Management Plans
- Mechanical, biological and thermal treatment options
- Recycling & composting collection methods
- Clinical & hazardous waste management
- Procurement assistance
- Environmental Permits
- Waste audits
- Logistics studies
- WRATE modelling
- Waste composition analysis
- Project and Programme management
Hopefully this paints a picture of our level of expertise. Our global presence means we are familiar with major international and local waste regulations, best practice, innovations and the latest technologies.
We have experience in applying our expertise to all types of organisations and projects. Whether it is advising on regional waste policies for public bodies, implementing waste minimisation programmes for large corporations, designing waste strategies for new developments, or planning for the installation of recycling facilities.
We can also work on projects of all scales. Recent work has included the concept masterplan for Masdar in Abu Dhabi, the world’s first zero-carbon zero-waste city, and we have also identified waste disposal routes for two of Unilever’s sites in the UK.
